Counselling service.
What is counselling?
Many people understand counselling to be about talking about their problems in a safe, confidential space.
Whilst this is true, counselling can be so much more.
When I work with clients, I recognise that we are all unique - so a one-size-fits-all approach isn't appropriate.
Instead, I work with my clients to discover how counselling can work for them. For some, this simply means talking and being heard. For others, this may mean using creative methods - such as art, sand tray therapy, walking and talking in nature - to encourage self-reflection and exploration of problems.
For some clients, working remotely via video call or telephone is important.
However we connect and work together, counselling can open your eyes to new ways of thinking and understanding.
Counselling provides opportunities that can literally change lives.
I look forward to working with you.

I've been working with Sandra as my counsellor for the last few years. I initially looked for a counsellor to help me with some anger and self-esteem issues.
To say it's been a journey is an understatement and a bit of a cliché but that's how it feels. I would say to anyone who's considering going to counselling - it's not a quick fix, it's emotionally hard work, but like most things you get out what you put in and for me it's really been worth it.
Sandra has been with me as I've explored lots of painful feelings and experiences and, although I no longer need to see her regularly, I know that I can contact her again if/when I feel there's more or something new that I need to talk about.
